BrineRIS Project has started a series of capacity-building training workshops, preferably for professionals from RIS countries. The first one was held on August 30-31 in Espoo, Finland, at GTK- Geological Survey of Finland’s headquarters. The two-day hybrid BrineRIS Professional Training on Geodata Management was based on the experience and solutions of GTK. Jyrki Kokkonen and Quentin Dehaine introduced on-site and online trainees to databases, data collection systems, GIS-based online solutions, and geological and geometalurgical data acquisition and management. For the consortium partners, it was the opportunity to finally meet in person after a long period of remote meetings. Next year’s workshop is planned in Hungary and will be related to geothermal water and energy.
Many thanks to Małgorzata Szlachta and GTK’s team for the excellent organization of the event.
